This provision on cookies (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”) is addressed to an indefinite circle of individuals (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) – visitors and registered users of the site, users of the site of the non-profit charitable organization Georgia Sons, identification code: 406369022, contact details: Georgia, Tbilisi, Samgori district, Ketevan Chilashvili Pass. No. 4, Apartment 17-18, tel.: +995599395448 (hereinafter referred to as the Charitable Organization) and describes how the Site works with cookies.

When the User enters the Site or uses certain services, the Site automatically collects data using cookies. The types of information that the Site collects through cookies include IP address, device ID, pages viewed and information, browser type, operating system and ISP data, timestamp, request source URL, location data, and etc., depending on the device used by the User (computer, mobile phone or any other device that allows visiting the Site, hereinafter referred to as the “Device”).

The work of the Site is organized in such a way as to make its use as comfortable as possible for Users. To do this, the Site needs to analyze the behavior, preferences and interests of Users (such analysis will help improve the User’s interaction with the Site, determine the most convenient interface and navigation of the Site, etc.), which is done using cookies.

Changes and additions may be made to this Regulation from time to time and without prior notice to the User, including when the provisions of the current legislation change. In the event of changes (updates, additions, etc.) to the Regulations, the Site places a similar message on the Site and the changes enter into force within the specified period. If, within the specified period, the User does not refuse to accept them in writing, this will mean that the User agrees with the relevant changes to the Regulations. The User is advised to review the Regulations regularly in order to control any changes or additions.

Hereinafter, references in the Regulations to the Site mean employees of the Charitable Organization authorized to organize the work of the Site.

1. Technical information about cookies

Cookies are text file(s) containing a small amount of information that are sent to a web browser and stored on the User’s Device.

According to the lifetime, cookies can be permanent/eternal (stored on the Device until the User deletes them) or session/temporary (stored until the browser is closed). Additionally, cookies are divided into primary (set directly by the visited Site) and third party (set by other sites).

The site uses the following categories of cookies, according to the classification of the International Chamber of Commerce:

Strictly necessary cookies – are necessary for the User to navigate the web page of the Site and when using certain services (access to secure pages, registration and authorization, search on the Site, etc.), and also remember the previous actions of the User when going to the previous page in the same session.

Performance cookies – collect consolidated information about how the Site is used (the time spent by the User on the Site, frequently visited pages, sections, services of the Site, the effectiveness of an information or marketing campaign, etc.), are stored on the Device between browser sessions. The information collected with the help of performance cookies is intended for solving statistical and analytical tasks (some cookie data may be provided to third parties who have permission from the web resource, solely for the specified purposes).

Functional Cookies – save settings/configurations that are stored on the User’s Device between browser sessions (username, profile photo, information on comments left, site language, location, information about providing the User with any information or options selected, other parameters site settings). These cookies allow Users to interact with social networks, watch videos, participate in polls, votes, etc.

Some cookie data may be provided to third parties who have permission from the web resource, and solely for the purposes indicated above.

Targeting cookies – can be used by the Site to provide content necessary for the User (tracking recommended material in order to avoid re-display, evaluating the effectiveness of information / marketing campaigns, information about the User visiting other resources during transitions, other settings of the Site), are stored on User Device between browser sessions. The Site may share this information with third parties, including media clients, advertisers, agencies and partners to improve the quality of services provided by the Sites.

Pixel tags (“pixels”, “web beacons” or “clear GIFs”) are electronic files that typically consist of a single pixel image and can be embedded in a separate web page or in an email to send information. The Site has the right to use pixels to place or recognize cookies on the User’s device if he uses the services of the Site.

2. Purposes of data processing using cookies

2.1. The User confirms that the Site legally uses information about the User collected using cookies for the purposes specified in the Regulation, namely:

2.1.1. Use of the Site. The Site uses the information collected with the help of cookies to organize the effective interaction of the User with the Site.

2.1.2 Analytics. The Site uses the information collected with the help of cookies to analyze the use and prepare reports on the use of the Site by Users; we also do this in order to track how Users organize work with the Site, in order to further improve the quality of the Site and ease of use.

2.1.3. Targeted advertising. The site uses information collected through cookies to provide targeted advertising; if necessary, the Site will request prior consent to place cookies for this purpose, while the User who has given such consent can cancel it at any time by clearing the browser cache or deleting the cookies themselves from the browser.

2.1.4 Market research. The site uses the information collected through cookies for marketing research (such as analyzing market segmentation or trends, preferences and behavior, product or service research, marketing or advertising effectiveness, etc.) or product development (such as analyzing the characteristics of a market segment or group customers or the performance of our Site in order to improve it).

3. Storage of cookies

3.1. Taking into account the differences in session and persistent cookies (session cookies exist until the User closes the browser, and persistent cookies are not automatically deleted when the browser is closed), the Site organizes its work in such a way as to use or allow the use cookies with a life cycle of no more than 5 years. A cookie may only last longer in exceptional cases, such as for security reasons (fraud detection, etc.), and only when absolutely necessary.

3.2. If the User has questions about the specific periods for storing cookies, he can send a corresponding request to the authorized persons of the Site in the manner provided for in clause 6.1. of this Regulation.

4. Cookie management

4.1. If the User is concerned about the presence of cookies on the Device, he can set his browser to refuse cookies or to be informed when a cookie is set (which will allow the User to decide what to do with it). The User will also be able to delete cookies from the Device.

4.1.1. The User acknowledges that he is aware that if cookies are blocked or deleted, some functions of the Site may not work correctly.

4.2. The main browsers are set to automatically accept cookies, therefore, to disable them, the User can use the help function in the browser of the Device, taking into account the information below for specific browsers (the configuration of cookie settings for browsers of mobile Devices may differ):

4.3. In most cases, the default browser allows cookies to be automatically stored on the Device. A full-fledged work with the Site is available only when using cookies, and disabling cookies may lead to limited access to content and to the defective functioning of the Site services.

4.4. When the User visits the Site again, the cookie data is updated. If the User does not enable the use of cookies (deliberately deletes all cookies from his browser), then the next time he visits the Site, the User will be prompted to enable and use cookies again.

4.5. Information about Users obtained using cookies is not sold or distributed in the public domain, and is also the property of the person who owns the corresponding resource.

4.6. If the User wants to refuse the use of cookies, but could not do it on his own using the browser settings, he can contact the authorized persons of the Site in the manner provided for in clause 6.1. of this Regulation.

5. Cookies of third-party services and the interaction of the Site with third parties

5.1. To improve the quality of services and services provided to Users, the Site uses services that are the property of third parties (Facebook, AlphabetInc., Twitter, Instagram, etc.), which may use cookies on the User’s device while he is on the Site. In these cases, the Site cannot affect the operation of cookies used by third parties, but all the necessary data on such cookies can be obtained on the web pages (sites) of such parties.

5.2. When the User uses the services, the pages of the Site may contain codes of other Internet resources and third parties, as a result of which such Internet resources and third parties may receive individual User data. Therefore, these Internet resources can receive and process information that the User has visited these pages, as well as other information transmitted by the User’s browser (banner display systems, social network plug-ins, etc.). If the User does not want these services to gain access to his data, the User can voluntarily log out of his account or profile, clear cookies – files of his browser.

5.3. The use of the above services may be necessary for the Site for operational analysis of Site visits, internal and external assessment of Site traffic, viewing depth, and User activity. The Site does not store or process data received from these services.

5.4. If the User has questions about which cookies are used and which third parties process them, he can contact the authorized persons of the Site in the manner provided for in clause 6.1. of this Regulation.
